Created by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index is used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.
MSCI* Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN)
Yahoo! JAPAN has been included in the MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN) for companies with exceptional gender diversity. This inclusion indicates that we have been assessed as a company leading efforts to support the participation and promotion of women in the workplace through diversity policies. This index was adopted as an investment target of the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).

SNAM Sustainability Index
In June 2019, Yahoo! JAPAN was selected for inclusion in the SNAM Sustainability Index, managed by Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Asset Management. The index is used for the SNAM Sustainable Asset Management comprised of approximately 300 companies that excel in ESG and which is currently adopted by several pension funds and institutional investors.
Health & Productivity Stock Selection 2019 / 2019 Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program, Large Enterprise Category (White 500)
Yahoo! JAPAN was chosen for inclusion in the Health & Productivity Stock Selection 2019, for the first time. The Mistry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange jointly select enterprises engaged in health and productivity management in which enterprises strategically carry out efforts regarding their employees’ health from a management perspective. For the third year in a row since 2017, we have been acknowledged in the large enterprise category (White 500) of the Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program by Nippon Kenko Kaigi. We strive to maximize our performance, solve users’ problems and improve our business results by having our employees in their top condition both mentally and physically. For this, we regard that the mental and physical health of the employees and their families are the most important foundation and our top priority. Going forward, we will take on the challenges of pursuing health and productivity management by leveraging information technologies and scientific methods unique to an Internet company.

Selection as Competitive IT Strategy Company 2018
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Tokyo Stock Exchange selected Yahoo! JAPAN as Competitive IT Strategy Company 2018. This honor is awarded to companies listed in the Tokyo Stock Exchange that actively use IT to inspire administrative innovation and increase productivity and earnings.
Yahoo! JAPAN was recognized for its creation of practical and new technologies and active usage of IT in various areas such as usage of accumulated big data. Yahoo! JAPAN has been awarded with this prize for three consecutive years since 2016.
