Z Holdings Named for the First Time to DJSI World Index, a Leading Global Index of ESG Investment

-Selected as an Industry Leader in Interactive Media, Services & Home Entertainment Sector

Z Holdings Corporation (hereafter “ZHD”) has been selected for the first time as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (hereafter “DJSI World Index”), one of the most prestigious global indices of ESG investment. Out of all index components, ZHD was also selected as Industrial Leader in the Interactive Media, Services & Home Entertainment sector.

ZHD also received the highest evaluation within the sector in the categories of Information Security/Cybersecurity & System Availability, Environmental Reporting, and Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy. In addition, ZHD was included in the DJSI Asia Pacific Index comprised of companies in the Asia Pacific region.

DJSI is a world leading index of ESG investment jointly developed by Dow Jones in the United States and RobecoSAM, an asset management company in Switzerland. Based on long-term shareholder value, the index makes a comprehensive analysis of economic, environmental and social performance of listed companies in the world, and selects leading sustainable companies. In 2020, the analysis was conducted on approximately 3,500 major companies in the world, and 323 companies (including 39 Japanese companies) were selected for DJSI World Index.

We regard that receiving the highest evaluation within the sector in the category of Information Security/Cybersecurity & System Availability recognizes the activities we have strengthened with the awareness that these factors are fundamental in the corporate activities of ZHD, which aims to solve the problems of the society using information technology. Moreover, as a company that leads the IT society, ZHD strives to pursue activities that solve disaster-related and social issues, and makes active contributions in order to achieve the SDGs. We regard that these activities were noted in our high evaluation in the category of Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy.

In addition to DJSI World Index, ZHD is also selected as a component of FTSE Blossom Japan Index, MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN) and S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index, all indices adopted by Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world’s largest pension fund.
